What's Happening This Month in Library
Thank you for all your help looking for those 'lost' library books in backpacks, cars, bedrooms, and classes!
We will be trying to get all the books back in the library before the long summer holidays, so no new library books will be coming home in June! If you would like to donate books your own children no longer read for our kids' book swap, please bring them in to the library or office. |
Kindergarten, Grades 1 & 2, Grades 2 & 3
We have read all ten books for the Surrey Schools Picture Book of the Year Contest! Keep in touch to find out how our votes compare to the votes of the rest of Surrey! Please keep reading to your children every day; children who are read to every day learn more than 100,000 words than children who are not read to at home. Check out the Summer Reading Program at the public library! There are a lot of fun, free activities at Semiahmoo Library throughout the summer to support the reading theme of Motion Commotion. Two of them are Brush Bots and Balloon Mobiles. Registration begins June 19th. |
Grades 3/4, & 4/5 Classes
Grade 3/4s and 4/5s are finished reading Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone!
